Day Spa Gift Certificates: a smart buy?

When you’re looking for a perfect gift for someone who’s hard to buy for, a gift certificate to a nearby day spa could be just the solution. It’s not just for women and girls, either – many day spas have packages designed just for men. What are some of the reasons you would choose a day spa gift certificate as a perfect gift for someone?

You don’t know them well

Most people will relish, or at least appreciate, a gift certificate to a day spa. And it’s not like they can get too many of them. If you want to impress someone you don’t know very well, this gift is sure to do it. While day spa’s might not be something everyone enjoys or has time for, it’s still a very inventive, thoughtful, memorable gift – and from someone who wasn’t a close friend!

They’re easy to buy

You don’t have to visit the spa to buy one. You can often order online or over the phone and they will be sent to you or to the recipient. It doesn’t get much easier than that. I’ve had more trouble buying gift certificates in stores.

It needn’t cover every cost

Make sure you spend enough for your recipient to get at least one or two services (if just one, a massage is a great choice). Beyond that, you don’t have to anticipate and spend enough to cover every single service they might decide to treat themselves to.

Works for every occasion

There is no occasion or relationship for which this gift is wrong. A day spa gift certificate is not an intimate gift because there’s no implication that you’ll be accompanying the recipient. So you can get this gift for a teacher who’s gone the extra mile for your child; for a busy executive; for a new parent (throw in babysitting services, and they’ll love you forever); for a friend; for a spouse.

It works for national holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, “just because” and any other occasion you can imagine.
